Letter from the Grand Master - March 29, 2021

Dear Brethren;
I want to start by thanking you for following the health protocols set out by the provincial Health Department and supported by The Grand Lodge of Nova Scotia.
As a group, we have been very lucky, and to the best of my knowledge, none of the Brethren have so far, been infected by the Virus. I know and understand how very difficult it has been for you all not to be able to attend regular Lodge Meetings and how anxious we all are to return to Lodge and that, of course, includes your Grand Lodge Officers.
We aren’t out of the woods yet though, and must still exercise caution until we get the go ahead from the Government. In the meantime, I ask that you continue to check on your Lodge Brothers, use your telephone committees to reach out to do so, or if possible, drop by if conditions permit. I am sure that they would appreciate the call or the visit.
We are looking to re-open the Lodges as soon as possible, and as the vaccinations increase and the cases recede here in Nova Scotia it could be sooner than we think.
As you have already been informed, there is going to be a very scaled down Installation of the Line Officers on the 5th of June with a minimum of Ceremony and no visitors from other Jurisdictions and the Province, and only the very necessary Brothers present to take part in the Installation. No Business will be conducted.
The Ceremony will be recorded and put on the Grand Lodge Website for all who are interested, to view. The DDGM’s will be installed and they in turn will install their District Officers at a later date.
Many Lodges have” Work” in progress and some have potential members waiting in the wings; we are aware of that and are just as anxious as all of you to kickstart the process of opening and getting back into our Lodge Rooms.
In closing, I thank you again for your patience, it will be rewarded soon my Brothers.
